In addition to the “Academic”, I received my art education through many experiences in my lifetime. I attended the Spring Garden Institute of Phila. for sculpture classes at the age of fourteen. Many supportive teachers as far back as Kindergarten have acknowledged me as an artist. I studied under Ruth Smaul a well known Phila. Artist, from ages of fifteen through seventeen years,.. Mrs. Smaul became my mentor. I was graduated from Olney Academic High School with an Academic Art-Business Diploma., class of June,1956. I attended Junta Community School, on Pine Street, central Phila, for two years studying Oil Painting. I achieved a Fine Arts associates from Montgomery College-Rockville Campus,(1976-1979) ,Maryland School of Art & Design 1980-82 and achieved a Bachelors Degree from Maryland University since.

I am trying to communicate my joy in all of god’s creation. I could spend three lifetimes painting pictures using God’s Word as my inspirational source and never finish expressing God’s Love letter to us. My subject matter is humanity and the Natural World as seen through my eyes which are influenced by what I know to be true in the Almighty’s Words. My venues include portraits, murals, Ketubot (Marriage contracts),by commission, and spontaneously , my media Watercolors, Acrylics, Oils, Gold, etc.on papers, canvas, illustration boards, walls & ceramics, etc. ,whatever it takes, including synthetic stone mold plaques. I have produced many giclee prints of my works.

I was juried into Olney Art Association; a professional group, Rockville Arts Place (professional), American Art Guild-DC, Senior Artists Alliance of Md., National League of American Pen Women(professionals). Upon moving to Fla.. I joined Suntan Art League at Don Cesar Cultural center, Passe- Grille,as The Exhibiting Society of Artistsxs (of Pinellas Cty). I have given watercolor workshops to adults, and taught art to home-schooled children ages five to eleven, including teaching at a Christian Private school (Art through the Bible). I have been interviewed on TV several times in Md.-DC area, interviewed by newspapers, and received awards from many competitions from above mentioned groups. My style is mainly Impressionistic-representational, although the subject matter and statement dictate the end result. And I have promised the creator that I would make my works accessible to ordinary working folks as well as the more affluent members of our society.
